The rates were very cheap during the low season, but I couldn’t sleep because rats were scurrying through the ceiling and the bedsheets had a strong cockroach odor, as if they’d been stored in a musty closet for months. The shower had no water pressure unless you pulled the head off and put it on the floor. With the front desk empty in the low season, there was literally no one to help when problems arose—cheap, but seriously dirty and poorly maintained.

The staff were friendly, everything was within walking distance, and it was nice that tap water was available. However, we had no air conditioning at night, so it got very hot. The beds were small, as was the bathroom, and there were a lot of ants in the bathroom. On top of that, the place wasn’t vacuumed during our stay.

The cabin is very cute and modest, with a small porch to sit on. I guess it’s not the hotel’s fault, but there’s almost no running water most of the day; if you shower in the morning you might get a bit more, otherwise forget it, and the water is cold.

The location is close to the terminal. Everything is fine.

It’s a nice little hut and for the price the location and stay are perfect. The shower facilities could be better—when you’re in the Philippines, expect cold showers.
