Quick recap: it turned out better than we expected, really good, and I handled everything through the chat on Booking, directly with the host who was always on top of messages, so I’ll definitely come back. The only glitch was a Booking error: when using Waze directions you’re taken to Lisbon; use “casinha das flores” or Google GPS instead.

I liked the area; it was very calm and peaceful. There was plenty of parking space close to the house, and the bed was pretty decent. The A/C worked well. On the downside, the room was dusty, and because it had no windows it was hard to breathe at night. The bathroom sink was clogged with hair, causing frequent blockages.

A Casinha das Flores is a traditional Alentejo house, very well kept and perfect for a quiet vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped, as is the bathroom. The AC is a blessing during the hot temperatures we faced. The only drawback is that there is no small outdoor space to relax.
