It was quiet with a beautiful porch to watch the birds, I loved feeding the horses, the bed was comfortable, and the common area was pleasant. No complaints.

The peace and quiet was exactly what I wanted; there was no noise from other guests like you’d find at a motel, the park right outside your door couldn’t be changed, and I didn’t have to worry about a break‑in or dents to wake up to. The owner felt like a good friend.

Everything about this stay was spectacular. Dan was incredibly thoughtful, compassionate, and understanding, offering valuable insight into key spots to eat and check out during my short, two‑night getaway. Ask Dan for the neat Homosassa website/cheat‑sheet he carefully prepared, filled with photos and descriptions of important local spots. The room I stayed in was cozy and well decorated. The on‑site facilities (restroom + kitchen) were clean and stocked with essential items. Check‑in and check‑out were a breeze. I felt incredibly well taken care of, with Dan responding quickly about front‑gate access and a dishwasher curiosity. The home was absolutely tranquil and felt “right”; there was no horsing around—except for the horses and the carrots. Combining those two made for a wonderful time.
