“Clean and comfortable hotel on the banks of the Waikato River”

The suite was huge and roomy, spotless and comfy. The buffet breakfast covered everything, with plenty of options for eggs—scrambled, poached, and even the chance to make your own omelette. The only downside was that the room’s electronics were outdated; there were no USB‑C cables, and the charging port next to the TV wouldn’t charge my device even though it showed it was powering up. A business hotel should upgrade this tech.

Location staff and service were excellent. There was a low pitched humming noise during the night that initially was annoying

The check‑in staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the first impression was positive. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and spacious, and it was close to good restaurants and the casino. However, getting even a temporary parking spot was hard, and there was no free overnight parking nearby. We used valet parking because that was the only option. A sign in the room encouraged reusing towels for the environment, but the toilet kept dripping water constantly—funny.
