The location was very quiet, we spent an excellent evening at their restaurant, everything was top.
“Calm place away from tourist crowds”
The staff were friendly and quick to help and find solutions. The guesthouse is a few minutes drive from Santana and Porto Moniz, making it a perfect base to explore. It was very quiet at night, no traffic, no noise, perfect! There is a restaurant and a cafe downstairs, the only ones in the neighbourhood, which I didn’t try. Parking near the property was limited. The room lacked a kettle and fridge; having one in common areas would be handy for full autonomy. The building feels a bit old and can be noisy when full, but that didn’t happen during my stay. I wished there was a rate for solo travellers.
“Für eine Nacht in Ordnung”
The staff were friendly and helpful, but with so few guests it felt almost too quiet. The view was lovely. The room was small and a bit musty, with a mini bathroom that was only moderately clean. Lighting in the room was poor and the bed was uncomfortable. The place was very noisy; we woke up when the hosts were coming down to prepare breakfast. All the doors creaked, and the overall atmosphere felt very lonely.
“Le personnel est génial! Gentillesse et implication extraordinaire! Malheureusement je pense que les patrons n’ont plus”
The staff were extremely attentive to guests! The price/quality ratio of the room equipment was a drawback.
“Allez dormir ailleurs”
Nothing positive. The price was exorbitant; the hotel feels from the last century.
