“Would recommend to go there because it was clean and the owner was very friendly”

The host was a genuinely nice guy who gave great suggestions for things to do around Aso, but the room was pricey because I was the only one in a three‑bedroom suite.

The bonfire was awesome. Yoshi roasted sweet potatoes for us and handed out hot sake that he warmed in a pan with water. The vibe was great and it’s a nice place to stay.

“秋の阿蘇を、焚き火とともに満喫しました”

I keep coming back to this place because the nightly campfire is a highlight; even though it rained until the evening, the fire started right when the rain stopped, which felt lucky. The owner, Ja-ken, and other international guests gathered around the fire to chat about our travels, and we all had a good time. The marshmallows and roasted sweet potatoes served were delicious. That day we also got to enjoy a special “fire‑heated hot sake” as a bonus—an amazing outdoor drinking event that warmed us up. The BBQ with a rented charcoal grill was also very satisfying. It was a wonderful trip to Aso and a memorable experience; I definitely want to stay again.
