Relaxing static stay Holiday park

The Caravan was in a good spot, fenced so my dog was safe. The park was very busy and crowded but well looked after. The pool was nice, but you can’t sit in the pool area or the grassed area if you have pets. I’d come back to Overstone, maybe in a different caravan or the same one at half the price! The place clearly needs TLC; the furnishing was very poor, the table was held together with tape. There was no WiFi and 4G/5G worked only sporadically. Communication with the owner was nil, which felt unprofessional. Earlier reviews mentioned moldy pesto in the cupboard, and it’s still there, so the owner seems to ignore feedback. Cosmetic issues included no lampshade, peeling unit covering, blinds that didn’t work, DVDs but no player, chipped or broken ornaments. An ashtray outside was full of cigarette ends, and there was dog poo (though the caravan is pet‑friendly, it could have been overlooked). The garden looked shabby. I can’t justify paying roughly £90+ per night for such a very substandard, dated caravan, though it was ideal for the dog.

“Beautiful location but needs more care and attention to guest needs”

The caravan was clean and static, in a beautiful location, and easy to find with the instructions provided. The beds were comfy and the linen was clean. However, no keysafe code was communicated before arrival, so we waited 45 minutes to gain access. No useful information was left, including how to switch the boiler on. There was no heating or hot water until the second evening, after the gas bottle was changed and we received telephone/text instructions to set up the boiler. The air fryer was faulty. Essentials like washing‑up liquid, a cloth, and a tea towel were missing, forcing us to buy them at a supermarket. Contacting the property owners was very difficult, but they were pleasant and polite once I managed to speak with them.

“Nice stay in quiet caravan with fenced garden”

The caravan was lovely, with a private fenced garden that’s great for dogs, and the garden backs onto the woods. It’s a very nice area, quiet, and the people are friendly. The air fryer and most cooking essentials were available. The interior was clean and smelled fresh on arrival, with clean towels and bedding, and heaters were provided. It was very comfortable. The boiler was a bit temperamental, but I managed to sort it out a few times. There was only one fork for my partner and me, but we made it work. The outside area could use a spruce‑up.

“Poor owners poor cleaner . Sorry does not cut it sometimes I'm afraid.”

The area. The dirty airfryer with a manky sausage , moldy pesto , dirty fatty frying pan, no good if more than 1 person must take own cutlery if more as owners were so unhelpful and certainly not accommodating and extremely ignorant. Happy to take your money though . I had just laid my mum to rest and wanted a relaxing break the owners were ignorant and unhelpful which really wasn't what I needed and actually they should be utterly ashamed of themselves
