Eimi was an amazing host, giving us great tips and helping with a reservation; the house had everything needed and even breakfast for everyone, and little touches like a cup with our names written in Japanese made the stay unique; the beds were super comfortable. Thanks, Eimi.

Eimi is the best hostess you could wish for! I received a warm welcome right upon arrival, and we went over my plans for my stay in Nikko. She offered tips that helped me organize my schedule more effectively. Later, she even helped with my plans for other parts of Japan, allowing me to visit beautiful places I hadn't originally included in my itinerary. There was breakfast provided. We played games with other guests and friends of hers. She also organized game nights and drove me to and from the train station and the supermarket when it was raining. I definitely plan to come back here :D

The owner was very pleasant and shared a lot of information about sightseeing; because it was a guest house, he invited us to mingle with foreign guests, we played card games together and ended up having a surprisingly fun time. The building was an old-fashioned house but clean, decorated with Japanese ornaments that gave it a nice atmosphere, and the futons were very comfortable to sleep on. The only downside was the sound of a small stream right next to the building, which was a bit distracting when sleeping, but otherwise the price and everything else were perfect 😊

Emi (the host) was delightful. The room was comfortable and a basic breakfast was provided, which was a pleasant surprise. Emi also invited us to an “international gathering” in the evening, which was great fun and much appreciated. Nothing to dislike, but it’s worth mentioning that the property is a bus / train ride from Tobu Nikko (touristy area).
