This place was absolutely spectacular. From the moment we arrived it was clear that every detail was intentionally crafted with genuine care, making the entire experience flawless. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Franschhoek offers a beautiful backdrop of wine, mountains, and scenery, and this house is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the area. The host is very friendly and helpful. However, the house can get cold when it’s windy because the windows let in a lot of air, and even the fireplace isn’t enough to heat the living room.

This is a wonderful place, a hidden gem! The setting is close to everything in Franschhoek yet peaceful and isolated right in the mountains. The cottage was excellent in every way, we had a fantastic time and will definitely return.

Peak Cottage was absolutely perfect, matching all our personal preferences. It’s out of town with only the mountain towering behind you, and a fireplace provides warm comfort during winter weather. It’s a place to rest with excellent hospitality and extra care when needed. The berg-fire earlier in 2026 and the good rains that followed will help the fynbos fully recover and grow fresh.
