Rooms have flat-screen TVs, coffee machines, microwaves, and fridges. Located 20 minutes from St. Louis city centre, the hotel offers a bar, mini-market, meeting facilities, and on-site parking for $12/day. Washington University and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport are nearby, at 3 km and 10 km respectively.

Breakfast was good with many options, the hotel’s location and vibe were the best parts of the overall experience, and the bed was comfortable. The shower was awful: it was meant for handicap access, but the nozzle was positioned so low that even I, a short person, couldn’t stand under it; the flow was minimal and never got hot enough. It was the most disappointing shower in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it stank, even though the rest of the hotel was wonderful. After a 10‑hour drive, I could have used a strong hot shower.

The spot near a beautiful neighborhood and the very friendly staff were great. The price was the problem: $360 per night is absurd for a double queen room with a small, non‑updated tub bathroom, a window shade that won’t open, average linens, a fridge that only cools, minimal fresh fruit at breakfast, and $20 per night to park in a very low‑ceiling garage that is too low in many spots to open a car back hatch. Best Western Plus rooms offer better comfort for half the price.
