Riad Meriem is a 10-minute walk from Jemaa El Fna Square and a 5-minute walk from the Ben Youssef Medersa in Marrakech. This Moroccan-style riad features individually decorated rooms in grey and violet tones, air conditioning, safety deposit boxes, and private bathrooms with baths or showers. A continental breakfast is served daily, and hosts can arrange airport transfers, excursions, and activities like hammam, massages, and golf or tennis outings.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were cleaned well, and the breakfast was good. It’s right in the middle of the medina, though you do have to look a bit hard to find it the first time. It’s very noisy—there are a lot of riads around.

The Riad’s beauty and central spot were spot on, and Oussama was super attentive—he even managed an early breakfast on our last day. Youssef was likewise helpful, tossing in plenty of tips. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast on the roof terrace, and getting tea delivered to the pool was a nice touch. A few hiccups: the tap sometimes stayed on, the sink drained slowly, the safe was broken, and the room felt a bit dark, but honestly we didn’t mind those.

The location is great, right in the heart of the Medina, but it’s quiet once you’re inside the Riad. Breakfast is delicious. Youssef and Oussama gave a superb welcome and were very efficient with all the bookings during the stay. I’ll come back if I visit Marrakech again!

The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The roof Terrace had great private spots to sit in. I loved the central courtyard and pool. The shower was very poor. Paint is peeling and the room we were in was very dark. I think painted a lighter colour and better lighting as obviously no windows
