Peace and silence during the day, location close to all destinations. Michael and his staff are fantastic hosts: ready, friendly, professional and proactive. The rooms are poorly sound‑proof, so new guests arriving late should be warned about the impact of talking loudly or slamming doors while other guests are resting.

Michael was very responsive to communications. Texts via WhatsApp were answered immediately both before we arrived and while we were there. He helped us get our laundry done on site which was not a part of the normal service. His breakfast service was outstanding. Hard for an American to get coffee we like in the morning but Michael made it just the way we like it. Liked the kitchen and fridge facilities and the AC was just what we needed at the end of a hot touring day. Location is close to so much beauty in the Val d’Orcia and a wonderful base for a magical stay. Bed was comfortable but just a bit hard for our personal taste
