“Friendly host, but the spot is far from the action”
I really liked Dona Dula – she’s warm and makes you feel welcome. The only downside was the location: everything is spread out and you’ll need a car, motorbike, or a taxi to get around, and the beach nearby is a bit rowdy and feels less safe. If you’re heading to San Andrés, I’d suggest staying in the downtown area so you can walk to the beach and have everything within reach.
“Decent internet, but the rest falls short”
The Wi‑Fi worked well, which was a plus. However, the room felt dated, the towels were worn out, the bathroom was in poor condition, and we even experienced a power cut. The advertised “right next to a wonderful beach” turned out to be misleading – the beach was farther away than promised.
“Homely vibe, great bike rental and beach access”
Staying at Dula and Franklin’s place felt like catching up with old friends – Dula is incredibly kind and always ready to help. Besides the comfy lodging and good breakfast, we arranged a motorbike rental and tours through them; the bike was brand‑new and in perfect shape. The house is right by the beach, and there’s a bus stop right across the street, making getting around easy.
“Great service, but location and amenities miss the mark”
The hosts were super attentive and the breakfasts were tasty, which made the mornings pleasant. Unfortunately the place is a good distance from the city center, and the room lacks a TV and a private bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient.
“Nice hosts, simple stay”
Dula and Franklin, the owners, were genuinely pleasant to be around and made the stay feel friendly.
