The room was tidy and had a decent décor, and the spot was unbeatable. Unfortunately the TV had no cable or satellite, making it unusable, and there was no coffee maker in the room or anywhere on the premises.
“Frustrating at check-in and downhill. Charge whatever you want but be honest up front.”
The location was great, but the TV remote didn’t work at all. The toilet seat was broken and there was no shower curtain. They gave us a micro‑sized soap chip, and although the place was “dog friendly” they didn’t mention a $20 cash charge at check‑in (a felt pen note was taped to the cashier window). I was charged by Booking and then again by the facility, though the Booking charge was later removed.

Tehachapi. Good food at nice restaurants. Poor facilities—just a bed and a chair, no furnishings, and the bathroom was far below the level.
“Small town motel”
The couple that owns the place was very nice and we really wanted to love this so much. The thing we liked the most was that they were really nice and that we had parking literally right in front of our room. We arrived and the room was hot. So the A/C had been turned off which makes sense if nobody is staying in a room for a while, but they knew we were coming so they could've started running it so It would've been a comfortable temperature when we arrived. We inspected the room for damages and noticed that we didn't receive a blanket and we had to cover with a sheet and the bed cover. The bed cover had holes in it all over from what felt like someone had put out cigarettes on it or something. There were at least 5 holes that I could immediately find. When I lifted that cover, there were long hair on the bed and they were not ours. Ew! Other than that and the dead fly on the window sill, that's all I could find in the main room. The bathroom. had a toilet seat that was broken, no shower curtain or door for the shower, so the water just went everywhere. After showering, the water just dripped and dripped and dripped.The mat to step on was stained and we almost ran out of toilet paper because there was no backup anywhere in the room
