Everything was fine at first: the hotel was nice, the room was large, the pool was big, and the staff were friendly—until the front‑desk lady tried to rip us off. We rented a scooter and she gave us a helmet without a visor, then when we returned the helmets she claimed we had broken it. We kept pointing out that the helmet had no visor, but she still tried to cheat us. As a Thai who’s lived in Ao Nang for four years, this is the first time I’ve met a woman like that—disrespectful, dishonest, and shameful.
