I wanted to check in at 03:00 am, but the room I’d booked for the whole day was denied because previous guests supposedly destroyed the bathroom. I told them I didn’t need a bathroom, just a place to sleep, but that was rejected. For an extra 800 lira I could have gotten another room, which I declined. The hotel offered to cancel my booking for free. I was left in Istanbul on a rainy night without a hotel; I couldn’t find another place on Booking, so I had to wander through Taksim and other hotels with my suitcase, incurring much more costs than the room had cost. Compensation was refused. After my review, hotel staff contacted me on WhatsApp, tried to call me multiple times, and when I couldn’t answer, they threatened to report me to the prosecutor’s office and insulted me, even though I only shared my experience with the hotel. It was childish behavior.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and for the price the accommodation was excellent. Everything was spotless and well organized, and overall I had a fantastic stay.
