“Ideal for over night stay”
The Swan is ideally located right next to the train station and has the added bonus of a large car park. The staff were friendly and attentive on arrival, making me feel welcome. The rooms are situated separately from the main building. Although my room wasn’t the largest, it was perfectly adequate for my needs as a solo traveller. The evening meal was very good, and it was great to know that food is served until 9pm. Overall, a pleasant stay in a convenient location. While I have listed some negatives over all it was a good overnight stay and the staff are very pleasant. The rooms are looking a little tired and could do with some TLC. One of the lights wasn’t working, another had been taped over, and one of the curtains was torn. Although the location benefits from being close to the train station, there is also a level crossing nearby. The alarm sounds every time a train passes, which can be quite disruptive, especially from around 6 am. This is worth bearing in mind if you’re a light sleeper
