The location and staff behaviour were fine, but the flush didn’t work properly, there were a lot of cockroaches, the blanket was dirty, and it felt overpriced given the facilities.

The only thing worth mentioning was the hotel’s location; otherwise there was nothing worth appreciating. The food was extremely overpriced and the quality was highly disappointing. I would rather walk to Chatori Gali for better food at reasonable prices. The overall experience at Hotel President, Gorakhpur, was highly unsatisfactory: the room had an unpleasant smell from the moment of check‑in, the freshener was of poor quality and irritating, the bathroom was unhygienic with insects flying in, there was no proper hot‑cold water mixer, the blankets lacked proper covers, and instead of a double bed they joined two singles together. The curtains were tiny—handkerchief‑sized—offering no privacy, and the LED TV in a 12x12 room was too small to be useful. I would strongly recommend choosing a guest house instead for better value, cleanliness, and comfort.
