The pub is super cozy, the staff is helpful, and the food is delightful.

“Overnight stay on an a noisy bank holiday.”

The location in the centre of Hope is good. The room was directly above the bar, and we only learned upon arrival that the bar would stay open until 1 am, which made it very noisy. The room itself was acceptable but dated. At breakfast the manager complained that his system wasn’t working and that all guests were arriving early, even though it was well past 8 am, the scheduled breakfast time. It wasn’t a great start after a night of poor sleep due to the noise, and the breakfast that did arrive was adequate but not something I’d want to eat again. Overall, the Old Hall seems to have declined and isn’t as good as it was a few years ago.

The place is very dog‑friendly, the meals are lovely, the breakfast is excellent and included in the price, the location is great, and the staff are very friendly. The room was by the road, so it was quite noisy at night.

“Nice pub, excellent food in a beautiful location”

I loved the spot and the charming country pub nearby, but the third bed was a settee that felt uncomfortable.

The old pub on the main road was lovely, though a block further back would have been quieter; still, noise never bothered us.
