When I arrived, no one was there, the front door was half open and broken, and trash had piled up inside. After waiting for a while, I found another accommodation. It was very frustrating, especially after a long bike ride, to have to travel extra kilometres to the next place. At best, the customer service managed to force a refund of the already paid amount.

The spot sits right on the waterfront, but there were no rubbish bins or cups/mugs, and we had trouble getting in for a while—suggest sending a WhatsApp or emailing the access code and room number on arrival day. The hot water system was unfamiliar to foreigners, so I ended up with a cold shower. The futons were extremely thin.

It’s a peaceful place with a good location if you have a car, and there’s a regular bus along the coast. As a Westerner, I’m not used to sleeping on these very thin mattresses; they’re not thick futons, so my bones hurt in the morning.
