“A cosy, beautifully appointed stay with a soul of its own”
My wife and I were drawn to the relaxed, home‑like vibe of Tehla Bagh, with only six rooms, a cozy living area, lush lawns, and a rustic village backdrop that made it feel personal and intimate. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated with striking paintings, and featured a clean, modern bathroom that was generously sized. The Wi‑Fi was strong and reliable. The vegetarian meals were very good, though we had to order non‑vegetarian dishes in advance. There are lovely walking and cycling paths around and behind the property. Sariska’s Tehla Gate, also called Gate 2, is roughly 6–7 km away, a 15–20‑minute drive. The entire staff were polite, courteous and welcoming, and Shubham, the chief keeper, deserves special mention for his warmth, attentiveness and efficiency; he made sure our stay was comfortable. Being tucked away off the main road adds to its charm. I highly recommend it, but expect a cosy, well‑appointed premium homestay with a soul of its own, not a conventional “resort”. We would happily return. There were a couple of initial hiccups: weak shower pressure and some seepage that left a damp smell in our originally booked room. The staff quickly moved us to a first‑floor room at no extra cost and were very responsive to our concerns. Signposting needs improvement; there is a board at the turn from the main road toward the village, but no clear directions beyond it, so the villagers helped us find our way. The main gate stays closed and has no property name on it, making it easy for first‑time visitors to drive past.
