We loved the location and the unique architecture of the building. It feels like a real castle with original details. The host was very friendly, helpful, and personable. He is a descendant of the original owner and shared fascinating family and building stories. The website claimed there was a restaurant on site, but that wasn’t true. Still, we managed to get an evening meal after a little coaxing from the host’s mother, though it was very basic.

The place is genuinely original, not trying to be something else, though it feels a bit dated for those who prefer modern style. My wife liked the dinner, but I’m still waiting to decide since I’m a meat lover.

If you’re after peace and quiet, this is the spot. The little historic manor has a fascinating family story and could be a tourist and cultural gem among the vineyards. Unfortunately that potential isn’t fully realised, and we hope the next generation can rise to the challenge. Luckily the owners have a story to tell, but the bed‑and‑breakfast offers no culinary appeal; it’s a shame because everything could support a better food experience.

A charming place steeped in history, just a few kilometres from the N‑10 exit, making it a nice stop along the way. It boasts a large estate with animals—donkeys, calves—and vineyards. The owners are lovely and will happily share the site’s 18th‑century lore, and they went out of their way to accommodate us by allowing us to charge our electric car, which helped us continue our journey comfortably the next day. The only downside was the difficulty sleeping on hot summer nights due to the lack of air conditioning. The dinner disappointed us a bit as it was mostly cold, simple dishes; we expected something a touch more elaborate for France.
