The exterior looks nicer than the room, which is spacious and fairly well kept, but the bathroom is quite ugly. It’s not uncomfortable; there’s enough space between the shower and the rest, but it’s unattractive. The air conditioning works and is needed given Tissa’s August humidity. The staff are friendly and helpful; for our Yala safari they prepared a grab‑and‑go breakfast with a sandwich, fruit, and a hard‑boiled egg. It’s fine for a stop before the safari, but I wouldn’t stay more than a few nights. The location is fairly central, but you have to walk down a small lane through fields.

A stunning property with a gorgeous view of a rice paddy and the Tissamaharama temple; the reception guy was warm and helpful, and the place was clean and well-equipped. The packed breakfast was perfect for a safari.
