“A disappointing experience :(”
Parking was plenty and the view was nice, plus bus routes to Queenstown, Frankton hub, and Arrowtown were easy to catch. I liked the bed, but my husband didn’t. The bathroom’s hot‑water tap didn’t work, and the in‑room fridge froze everything we put in it because it had no temperature dial, ruining some groceries we’d bought that night. The common areas looked unfinished and uninviting, and there was no comfy spot in the room to relax. For three days we heard the neighbors in the room next to ours yelling at each other nonstop; we told the front desk twice, but management did nothing. We almost called the police one night because it was that bad. Apparently they’d been staying there for over ten days with several complaints. Why were we put next to them if it was a known issue? The next morning after our third night they offered a weak apology and said they were checking out that day. The house restaurant was shockingly mediocre for the $350 bill for two, despite a nice wine list and attentive staff; the food was extremely disappointing, and we’re not picky eaters. I don’t understand how they earned a Michelin star.
