The bungalow matched the description, it was small but practical, and it’s true the bathroom lacks a door. The bed is protected by a mosquito net, and the windows have nets too, though some mosquitoes still get in. Hot water was available in the bathroom, and they provided gel, shampoo, and towels. The Wi‑Fi in the room didn’t work well, but it did in the restaurant. The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious food and the location was excellent. The bed was a bit uncomfortable if you’re very large, as it was small. The fan cooled but was noisy yet not annoying. They gave us a tuk‑tuk to take us back to Sipalay. The staff were fantastic.

“Romantic and peaceful.”

I gave my wife a 10 for every aspect. The staff were friendly and obliging, cheerful and helpful. We chose one of the basic huts, and it was clean and full of character. The sea was audible and the overall atmosphere was peaceful, from the bar and restaurant to the beach deck chairs. The food was very good. Although it isn’t a luxury resort, it didn’t feel rundown at all; the owner seemed proud of its upkeep and maintenance. It’s a lovely getaway by the sea. Swimming was great; we both love ocean water, so it was fantastic. Sunsets were beautiful. We stayed for five weeks and loved our time. The proximity to the water offered a quiet and restful ambience with cool breezes in the evening. As newly married couples, we made a beautiful memory in a romantic and restful place.

“9/10 would come back for sure. Staff was 10/10 and location was 10/10. LOVED it.”

The food was delicious, and we loved waking up to the sunrise right on the beach. The food was a bit expensive, so we often went into town for meals. It would have been nice if the prices were similar.

The location at the end of “Sugar beach” amid a beautiful garden is excellent. The sandy beach is suitable for swimming even at low tide. Beautiful sunsets occur in the evenings. The owner, originally from the Black Forest, was extremely helpful in all matters. The cuisine is excellent, both Asian and German. I was fully satisfied and recommend everyone spend their vacation here.
