Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa

“Exceptional service amazing staff”

I was blown away by the staff—so attentive and polite—and the place is a hidden gem.

“Highly recommend a visit!”

This charming, character‑filled place was my second stay at the Rowhill; as a seasoned traveler, I found it amazing right on the doorstep, with warm, friendly, and attentive staff, wonderful facilities, and divine food at the evening restaurant—now I’m a member and can’t wait to bring friends next time! The only minor gripe was a cold bath tap, but management quickly sorted it out.

I had a bad experience with the taxi booked from reception; the price was wrong and it took me to the wrong destination, and the room decor felt a little tired.

“Underwhelmed and worn out”

The dessert was fantastic, but the property feels worn out and needs a full refurbishment; it’s charging premium prices for mediocre surroundings and service, with no one at reception at 7 am. The restaurant food was underwhelming and a bit weird, though my flat‑iron steak was lovely and the dessert great. Staff seemed confused and undertrained, which was a shame because I was really looking forward to the night there, and I wish I’d chosen the premier inn instead.

“Relaxing and pleasant”

The room was elegant and very comfortable, but the property itself wasn’t great; I thought the spa was included for a one‑night stay, but I missed that detail in the email. Guests next door or below were loud, and the walls are very thin.
