It’s a unique and comfortable spot, very unlike the chain motels I usually stay at. There’s little to no contact with staff, but they’re a text message away and respond to questions or needs I’ve had. A coffee machine, soft drinks, and snacks/breakfast items are available whenever I might need them. If you’re bothered by a stain on the carpet or the furniture isn’t perfect, this place might not suit you.

The hotel is historic and the location is unbeatable—a minute or two’s walk to Main Street, where food and retail stores abound. I also appreciate that there are no televisions in the rooms—sleep encouraged! My first room had a difficult shower for me, but they moved me to another room with a modern bathroom right away.

The room was nice and clean, with a nostalgic feel that kept the temperature comfortably cool, showing plenty of potential. However, the grounds were neglected and there was no staff on site; I had to call the sister property, whose staff were very helpful, for any issues. The bed felt hard, and the hotel sits in a residential area.

The place looked pretty, but it wasn’t what I wanted. The beds were horrible, the chair was broken, and the autumn décor was also broken down.
