“Great Stay with Lovely Food”
We had a family suite on the 3rd floor which was very spacious clean and views to die for. The hotel itself is up a steep hill which made it problematic with a young child and a push chair but I didn't realise that when I booked it. We did not have a great welcome. We arrived at 1130 which was very early due to ferry times and the receptionist was not overly welcoming - she seemed completely disinterested, told us check in was 4pm which we were aware of but made no effort to tell us she could prioritise our room being cleaned given we had a young child and was pretty unfriendly we thought - so no warm welcome there. Subsequent staff members we dealt with were lovely. Due to the walk down to the town which was via a very steep hill or 100 steps we decided to eat in the hotel for dinner. The service was great in the bar and restaurant and staff were very nice. The food was lovely. The hotel itself is an older type hotel and in areas looks a bit tired but overall we enjoyed our stay. Not given a warm welcome. Disinterested receptionist
