Located 5 minutes' walk from Fisherman's Wharf shops and restaurants, The Wharf Inn offers non-smoking guest rooms with free WiFi, 40-inch LCD TVs, and premium channels. Each room includes a private bathroom with hairdryer. A 24-hour fitness centre is available nearby for a fee, and Pier 33, offering Alcatraz Island cruises, is less than 1 km away.

Breakfast wasn’t included, and the exterior looks a bit rough, but the rooms are spacious, clean, and great, and the location is amazing. The proximity to the city does bring a bit of noise, though it’s not a deal‑breaker.

The spot is great for walking to everything near Fisherman’s Wharf, and I liked the enclosed parking. The place was generally clean, and the online photos matched what we got. However, our suite’s two pull‑out beds were broken, making it hard for our kids to sleep. When one bed was unfolded, it blocked the entrance to the other room, so getting to the bathroom at night was a hassle. Only two outlets were available, and the fairy lights on the balcony plus nighttime road noise made sleeping tough. After a midnight concert, it was very difficult to get an attendant to open the enclosed parking.

The location is great, but the building feels very run down, making the stay unpleasant. They’re renovating, so after the work it might be acceptable, but right now it’s not.

The spot was convenient, near all the sights, and the staff were really helpful. The room lacked bedside tables and lamps, and the window overlooking the corridor had no blinds, so I had to keep the curtains closed even during daylight; the bright light made it hard to sleep, but the bed itself was comfortable.
