I never got any heads‑up that the hotel was closed, so I walked up to a locked front desk and found nobody speaking English to explain the situation. After I reported it and canceled through the booking site, I was refunded, but I wish the hotel had called me first and sent a cancellation notice.

The breakfast was decent, and the hotel sits in a nice spot, though a little off the beaten path. The staff on site are friendly and helpful. However, you must demand a bill on the spot; you’ll never receive one later, and what you do get lacks any official details—no imprint, no VAT number, no itemized split for room, city tax, and breakfast. They claim the visit data is missing and refuse to provide support or cooperation, which feels unprofessional. The building itself is a bit dated, which is fine, but the corridors are stale and the water runs brown for minutes from the pipes, even though they assure you everything is fine—still leaves a bad impression.

“Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut in Ordnung und Bett SEHR bequem.”

Breakfast was excellent and the owner was very friendly; arranging the key pickup beforehand was straightforward. The mattress was extremely comfortable, the surroundings were quiet, and I slept wonderfully. The only minor suggestion would be to check the condition of the spare toilet roll.
