The décor was a bit too old‑fashioned, and it was annoying to walk down the stairs and see other guests in the downstairs unit in their underwear through the glass door, but otherwise everything was fine.

The place was close to the city center, but there was dust everywhere.

We liked the cozy atmosphere and how helpful the host was, but the mattresses were a bit hard, the sofa offered no comfort because it had no cushions and was also a sofa bed. The house is a little old and could use some updates. Being a two‑storey building, on the first night we could hear the guests upstairs so much that it disrupted our sleep.

The house is fine, a bit far from Lisbon, but a quiet place to rest. A day before, the host sent me a WhatsApp asking to cancel my stay, saying the house was missing the false ceiling; I told him I didn’t mind and that if that was the only problem, I wouldn’t rate it poorly. We went to the house and everything was fine, it was clean, we were welcomed, and I thought there were no more issues. To my surprise, the next day he called me again on WhatsApp and said he had cancelled the reservation and that since I was already at the house I would have to pay him in cash. He had cancelled when I was on my way, and because booking was slow to cancel, he received me. I told him I hadn’t received it yet and that he would have to give me his account number; it took about 4 days to pay. Anyway, Mr. Paulo, I never thought I would rate the house poorly, but your lack of ethics and professionalism leaves me no choice; there must be professionalism and above all word, and my short two‑night stay was only a disturbance from your side!

I thought it would be fine for a night or two.
