Hotel Aster an der Messe

“Comfortable beds, but that’s about it”

Check‑in was straightforward and there was free street parking during our visit. The Wi‑Fi didn’t connect. The room was very basic, only beds and the bare necessities. The motion‑sensor lights in the common hallway don’t work from both sides, so you have to walk in the dark when leaving.

“Kleiner Mangel, aber sonst völlig in Ordnung.”

The location and cleanliness were good. Check‑in and the facilities were lacking, and there was no lamp on the bed.

“Ok per una o due notti”

The hotel is close to the fair and walkable, and the 3/4 person room is very large. The bathroom was recently renovated. For the price paid, it’s worth it. There’s street parking in front of the hotel and the Wi‑Fi is excellent! The hotel looks a bit run‑down; the stairs and common areas seem unclean for months. The new bathroom is nice, but there’s no hook for the towels.

Only clean. We waited an hour at the front desk because of a card‑reading error and no one was there. The mattress springs pressed into our backs. Because it’s on the metro, it’s very noisy; it feels like the metro is right through the room.

Fast check‑in, the front desk staff spoke Russian, which was super convenient; our room held four people, was spacious and clean with a large balcony, and the U2 metro station is nearby, giving direct access to the city center. The hotel was quiet, the beds were comfortable, linens were fresh, and there were two towels per person; the bathroom only had soap, no shower gel, but a hair dryer was available. For that price it’s an excellent choice.
