“Tres noches en Split”
The place is in a great spot, just 10 minutes from the ferry departures and bars—just a cross of an avenue away. Two supermarkets sit on the corner, and if you drive, there’s a parking lot across the street, though it’s often full; if you take the ferry, you only walk a few blocks. They let us use the fridge for breakfast and drinks, even made ice. The room and bathroom are new, spacious, and comfortable, with a window overlooking the back street. We only found out the next day that it was on the third floor by stairs, and we had heavy luggage. They gave us four small towels (40 by 60 cm). The bathroom had a burnt-out light and no soap in the dispenser. The shower heads were clogged and the water didn’t flow well, but we managed to fix it. The shower water dripped out of the tub and there was nothing to dry off with. Breakfast items were minimal—just one bowl, one large plate, missing a corkscrew, etc. Only one glass; there were cups, but overall these are fixable details.
