All the food was bad, the same food every day – you could only eat grilled chicken, everything else tasted bad, no pizza or similar, zero points; we ate no lunch or dinner out almost every evening. The staff started reserving the sunbeds at 6 am and it was full with towels by 9 am, and some people came to the pool after lunch and the staff did nothing even though the rules say that if you lay out towels the staff will remove them. The pool area was nice but we had to go down and lay out our towels before breakfast; the whole vacation was stressful and awful because of this. AVENA Beach was dangerous to swim at because of large stones and other debris that had blown in. I swam once and then didn’t dare again; many people were injured when they tried to get out of the water.

“Für uns war’s leider Nix”

We used the hotel as an emergency shelter for two nights after having to leave our previous Airbnb unexpectedly, so it was acceptable for that short stay and the slides were fun for the kids. The pool was tiny for a hotel of this size, the water looked a bit cloudy, and the loungers were old and cramped together. We didn’t eat on site. The front‑desk staff seemed uninterested in working, and when we asked blindly about any vacant rooms they immediately said none were available without checking the system. After we mentioned seeing vacancies online, they brushed us off, so we finally booked through another site. Fine for a one‑night stay, but not really a holiday hotel.

Everything from A to Z was really great… The sauna and Thai massage are highly recommended.

The restaurant, the food and the staff were all very good. The bed was uncomfortable, the mini‑fridge was empty, the place was crowded and the location felt cramped.
