“Great welcoming place and central in Bukhara”
The location is fantastic, right in the Old City near the Mosque, Ark, and Nasreddin Hodja, with markets and a supermarket nearby. I really enjoyed Bukhara, a beautiful city with many pleasant parks. Sezam Hostel is central yet quiet enough to rest, though April isn’t peak season. The room was airy and pleasant. The family is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple: eggs, fruit, cucumber/tomato, bread, cheese, and jam. The host family even offered a different breakfast with buckwheat for Russian tourists—a thoughtful gesture. They also allowed early check‑in and late check‑out. I loved the people I met; Tajiks and Uzbeks are very friendly. Sezam Hostel is a great starting point. The weather was sunny and warm, sometimes hot, sometimes fresh in the morning. Nothing I dislike, just the bathroom is taller than me. When we arrived, the “Get Directions” from the Booking app led us somewhere completely off; the address on Yandex is Baha‑ud‑Din Naqshband 48/1.
