Located in Tbilisi Old Town, Namaste Hostel sits five minutes from Narikala Fortress and 850 m from Freedom Square Metro. They offer free luggage storage for a few days when I went to Armenia—rare in Tbilisi! The staff are friendly, informative, and always try to help. The location in the old town is fantastic. It could use more space and lockers for guests; the “all‑backpackers trust each other” vibe might not suit everyone staying in the dorm.

It’s a cute, quirky, cozy hostel perched on a hill in the old town with great views of the Holy Trinity church, close to many restaurants, cafés, and historic sites. The kitchen is fully equipped and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are only three toilets and two showers for everyone, and the dorm offers little space for luggage storage.

The location is central, the balcony overlooks the city (nice to sit there in the morning or evening with breakfast or dinner), the mattresses are decent, and the room and bathrooms are clean. There’s a place to dry clothes on the shared balcony. The four‑bed room has two double beds and two bunk beds. The bedding is synthetic, the pillows are uncomfortable, laundry costs 10 lari, there’s no basin for hand washing, and the second floor feels stuffy—there’s a fan, but fresh air doesn’t come in.

The atmosphere was great, but the hill made it hard for taxis to get to and from the hostel.
