“Great stay”
Great location in a very pretty area. The staff were very helpful and the little cafe downstairs was an added bonus, which served a splendid breakfast. Thank you so much for our stay ☺️
“Perfect”
We had a wonderful stay at this holiday cottage. The property was lovely, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The cottage had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the location was perfect for enjoying the surrounding area. The whole experience was easy and enjoyable, and Andrew and his fabulous team were just so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, and the café was the icing on the cake! We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway, and we would happily stay here again!
“Nice enough accommodation which could do with some repairs and tlc”
Homely, lovely views. Poor facilities in kitchenette- no hot water. Bathroom tap needed fixing. WiFi issues resulting in no Tv
Beautiful area, friendly welcome, ideal getaway
“Misleading property description”
Not very much!. I booked Rocking Chair Farmhouse based on the description and unfortunately found the reality very different from what I reasonably expected. I booked a 2 bedroom house with private entrance. This is detailed in my confirmation. The truth is the guest accommodation is directly connected by an **open staircase to a working café/tearoom kitchen below**, with the only barrier being a foldable baby gate. This was not disclosed anywhere in the listing. Travelling alone with two children, I found the lack of secure separation extremely concerning. Had this arrangement been made clear when booking, I would not have chosen the property. The bedrooms themselves were generally acceptable, although there were maintenance issues, the bathroom was dated and cooking smells from the commercial kitchen permeated the accommodation. For me, the biggest issue is transparency. Being openly connected to working commercial premises is a significant feature that guests should be made fully aware of before booking, particularly from a privacy and security perspective. I am leaving this with ahead of contacting Citizens Advice becoming involved as they can and will refer this so Trading Standards
