Luxurious, with generous portions everywhere—at the restaurant and the bar—the room was gigantic, though the furnishings were outdated, and there were two large wardrobes; the restaurant offered a reduced menu but quality dishes at reasonable prices. The old building was unevenly maintained, the heating was insufficient (single glazing, unfortunately), the tapware was badly aged and hard to use, there were mold stains around the bathtub, and the toilet lid was unworthy of any hotel, regardless of category.

The dinner at the restaurant was served quickly but without an amuse-bouche; the fish dish was good, but the dessert of profiteroles, frozen ice cream balls as hard as golf balls, with a hint of chocolate was returned; the reservation was acceptable with a small chocolate cup, but it was not up to par.

A fantastic hotel, beautiful, spacious, with friendly staff. Located right in the heart of Vichy, facing the opera. Once I arrived, I didn’t need my car anymore.

A very beautiful hotel from the last century that would benefit from some repairs on the left and right; the rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast could be better, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The location is great in the town centre, the bar is convenient, and the décor has a nice period feel. The restaurant was closed on the Sunday evening I stayed.
