The room was nice, the view beautiful, and the staff were very helpful – they brought us aloe for sunburns and prepared breakfast early. The shop is nearby. The only downside is that shops and most restaurants are closed on Sundays. Also, instead of taking a taxi to Porto Novo, you can save 30 euros by using the colectivo.

The location is fantastic for exploring any route in the Paul valley. The room and bathroom are spacious, and it’s great that you can have the room cleaned and sheets changed whenever you want (after two days the humidity made the room feel dirty). Breakfast is plentiful with homemade items. Kevin helped a lot with routes and getting around the island, and also arranged a taxi for us when we needed one at the top of Cova. The only issue is that there’s a fan but no air conditioning, so it’s hot and humid and you have to rely on the fan. The Wi‑Fi is the worst – it connects at times and drops at others.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They connected me with the best tour guide possible, even though I had just decided to organize a last‑minute trip to Santo Antão. The hotel sits in the stunning Vale do Paul and the terrace offers a breathtaking view. Breakfast is served there and it’s delicious—everything is vegan! A grogue distillery is just a few steps away, worth a visit even out of season. They have a small shop where you can buy their grogues, other liquors, organic soaps, and more. Nothing negative. I loved it!

The hotel’s surroundings are a constant racket, both day and night, thanks to neighbors blasting music. It’s hard to catch any sleep with that level of noise.

The place is brand new and everything feels super comfortable. The room is spacious, and the breakfast is really good. The staff are friendly, and it’s about a 15‑minute walk from Pombas for dinner, plus a great spot for hikes.
