“I will probably not stay at Lyndoch Motel again.”
The room was quiet and comfortable, but being charged a daily rate made me expect daily housekeeping, which didn’t happen, so coffee and sugar ran out quickly over the four‑night stay. The restaurant was overpriced, especially the wine—$14 for barely a mouthful felt like a robbery, a so‑called Barossa Tax. No local free‑to‑air TV was available because it was disconnected; the only option was a satellite stream that was a mess—waiting for downloads, watching five minutes, then restarting again. TV was essentially worthless, and anyone who thought Starlink was a good idea should be fired.
