The route to the sea was convenient, yet the amenities varied by room and some basics like lotion and cotton swabs were missing, which was hard to accept. At the HanaHana restaurant staff pretended not to notice when they almost bumped into guests, and I was treated like two people. Their beach guidance was off – they told swimmers who couldn’t enter the water to go next door, then warned that rising tide made it dangerous and asked us to come back, which would have been the proper wording.
“Piacevole vacanza in relax”
The resort offered plenty of facilities on a truly beautiful beach, and our spacious family room provided a stunning sea view and a large bathroom; we enjoyed a great breakfast. I had read about possible queues for breakfast at the three hotel restaurants, but that seemed to be a misunderstanding by distracted guests – the system is well organized and I never waited more than 10 minutes. The music by the pool was also enjoyable, though some areas definitely need refreshing.
“Ok wenn man eh nicht viel Zeit im Hotel verbringt. Für den Preis aber nicht akzeptabel.”
The hotel’s location is pretty good, with direct beach access and a quick drive to many restaurants and attractions. However, even though the booking system worked, you still have to wait about 45‑60 minutes for breakfast. The building feels very old and musty, overall looking poorly maintained, and there are no hotel‑run activities or offers. For a two‑star place with a very low price that might be tolerable, but definitely not for a five‑star hotel at this price point. We won’t be back and don’t recommend it.
The rooms were large and very comfortable, with great beds. Outside, everything was run-down and needed a lot of maintenance.
“リゾート地にも関わらずホスピタリティは?”
When the hotel first opened I stayed there and, despite being almost 30 years old, the building was well maintained and comfortable; the beach was just a short walk away and you could even stroll around in a swimsuit, which was handy. Housekeeping kept the room tidy while I was out, and the staff were attentive, greeting me in the hallway, which felt very pleasant. However, front desk and bell staff were overwhelmed during the summer holidays and their service fell short – I was told to call for a restaurant reservation but never got an answer, and when I finally reached the bell desk they snapped back saying they’d call me later, which was unpleasant. Having to repeat my membership number every time was tedious, and I wondered why it couldn’t be checked online, making discounts and points feel irrelevant. The restaurant menu stayed almost the same, getting boring, and the tongs for serving food were awkward, slowing everyone down; there were too few toasters, causing queues and leaving some guests without toast. In the morning, the coffee service was messy – kids had spilled coffee, so cups couldn’t be set properly, which should have been monitored. Breakfast was served too quickly to enjoy it slowly. Overall the physical side was good, but the soft side needs work; staff often looked downcast, and for a resort the hospitality felt lacking, which was disappointing given my fond memories from when it first opened. Still, I think it’s a decent hotel overall.
