“Not great- followed by terrible customer service”

The place is conveniently located for accessing Efteling, but the oven was dirty with crumbs from previous occupants, an old hair comb and shampoo were left around, and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Then a major issue arose when the drains blocked, causing overflow in the toilet, shower, and kitchen sink. On the last day, with two small children, we couldn’t use the toilet, shower, or brush our teeth; the toilet water even back‑flowed into the kitchen sink, preventing us from washing dishes. The accommodation refused any refund or compensation. The smell of other people’s waste was so bad we all felt like vomiting; I can’t even begin to describe it. There was no compassion, especially considering it’s not a cheap stay, and the customer service was terrible—no refund offered for the last night when the problem occurred.

It’s a very nice, tidy bungalow in a perfect spot for going to the Efteling, and Beekse Bergen is also nearby. There’s also beautiful nature in the area. Everything is available in the bungalow, with lovely little rooms and a kitchenette. We stayed for a weekend but could have easily spent a week there.
