Everything was wonderful. The location was excellent, easy access to good beaches and the bus for travel, the staff were 1000, and breakfast was lovingly prepared every day. Nothing was lacking; everything was perfect.

The beach was practically private right in front of the lodge, the staff were always very courteous, and breakfast was always fresh and as requested. The downside was that the side view from my specific room (2) was the worst; it faced another room, so I couldn’t open the curtain to see the sea. The room was small and had no wardrobes, and the bathroom had a smell.

The staff, especially Kimberlly who speaks English, were very attentive even before we arrived, answering every question and suggesting activities and restaurants. The ladies preparing breakfast were also welcoming. The location is a bit away from the main village, close to Porcos and Sancho beaches, with a view of the American beach just below and direct access. The Pousada has only 8 rooms. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh juice and homemade cakes. The room was a little small and had no storage for belongings, and there was no laundry service on site. A strong disinfectant smell, or something similar, lingered in the bathroom.

The spot is great, within walking distance of the main beaches and with a bus stop right nearby, and the management, cleanliness and equipment quality were excellent, especially William’s attention and kindness; the wooden terraces facing the sea are perfect for early‑morning yoga with the sound of waves and the scent of wild jasmine bushes nearby. I didn’t realize when booking that my room didn’t have a sea view, and the rooms at the back only offer a slanted glimpse of the water, which felt quite small to me and left me disappointed.

Ana welcomed us warmly. The Pousada is simple yet very comfortable, located in a great spot near Bode and Caçimba beaches – the best on the island. The view is good and breakfast is well supplied. We really enjoyed our stay.
