“Would definitely recommend”
The stay was peaceful, the room was large, the staff were kind and helpful, and the food was amazing. The bathroom was a bit small, but that’s all.
“i highly recommend Aurora Resort & Spa”
Aurora Spa Resort defines tranquility. The staff go out of their way to keep the environment quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of options, and the outdoor pool is pristine and offers spectacular mountain views.
“Tasty food and the deer enclosure, but the rooms and service are nowhere near five stars”
Check‑in was quick, the reception staff greeted us warmly and with a smile – for the first five minutes the impression was good. The food is genuinely tasty; we tried the pizza and some local dishes and had no complaints about the quality. A real highlight was the small area with young deer that you can feed – it was the warmest experience of the whole trip, and I’d recommend it to anyone staying there. On the second day we were moved to a larger room, which was nicer than the first one. There was one female administrator (working on our second‑to‑last day) who was genuinely helpful and responsive, literally running around to sort things out; she was the only member of staff we enjoyed dealing with. The good first impression disappeared the moment we were given our room. We had booked a double bed through Booking and the request was stated clearly, but we were placed in a room with two separate beds. We are a couple, so this matters to us. Nobody warned us about the change, not in advance through Booking and not at check‑in. When we raised it, we were told that we had already been checked in, so we could not get a refund or leave, and that was the end of the conversation. For a hotel advertising five stars, that response is very strange. There was no reaction from reception for an hour and a half – late in the evening, after a long journey. Nobody came, nobody offered anything. In the end we went to sort it out ourselves and were simply told that there were no other rooms and that this was all they could offer. No attempt was made to solve the problem, and we were left to deal with it on our own. The rooms. There is no air conditioning in any room, even though the hotel sits in the mountains and in the forest. There are no mosquito screens on the windows either, so there is no protection from insects at all. There were cobwebs in our room. Every door creaks, in both the first and the second room. The décor is dated and the rooms are clearly not maintained. The fridges in both rooms rattled so loudly that sleeping was impossible; we had to unplug them every night. There is no sound insulation. On the first evening we could hear children from the neighbouring room until late at night, with our windows and doors shut. The pool. There aren’t enough sun loungers for the number of guests – the hotel is large, and if everyone came out to the pool at once there wouldn’t be room for all. The children’s pool isn’t separated, it’s part of the adult pool, so relaxing away from children isn’t an option. By the evening the water had turned completely cloudy from sunscreen and cosmetics, and the next morning it was still the same.
“Quite outdated and overrated”
The location is stunning and the breakfast is amazing. There was no air conditioning or fan, so in summer temperatures over 30 °C were unbearable. The room phone didn’t work, Wi‑Fi failed in room 313, the balcony light was broken, the bed was very old and too soft, pink mould appeared in the shower, there was no fan in the bathroom, and the doors were super squeaky.
“Will visit again!”
A truly wonderful place! One of the best places I’ve visited in a long time. The scenery is absolutely amazing - clean air, beautiful forest, the lake… everything is simply stunning. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, the spa was lovely and relaxing, and the pool was perfect for cooling off during our summer visit. The food at the restaurant was top-notch. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The breakfast also had so many options and everything tasting fresh and delicious. But above all, it was the staff who made the biggest impression on us. Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive. A special thank you to each and every one of you for making our stay so pleasant and memorable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
