The staff were welcoming, but the building felt dated – a 1960s‑era structure that never got updated, a dreadful smelling bathroom, no curtains and a shabby room with no furniture.

The only thing I could point out was the location of the property, while the building itself felt overly old.

Everyone from the waiters to the front desk and housekeeping was attentive and ready to help, towels were refreshed daily, and the rooms felt brand‑new, clean and roomy; breakfast was plentiful and varied each morning. We opted for half‑board and the kitchen was excellent, offering three different first‑courses and three second‑courses every night, never repeating a dish over five days. The hotel kept things lively, arranging daily outings and tours of local sights, and free parking was right in front. Run like a family by the owner, who was fantastic, we’ll definitely return because we felt right at home.

The place was spotless, ultra‑modern and just a stone’s throw from the Sassi, with parking right there.

Breakfast and dinner were both generous and delicious, and the hotel’s location made it easy to get around Roccaraso, Rivisondoli and Pescocostanzo. Mr. Angelo and his wife were extremely kind and helpful, setting up trips to beautiful spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. We had a great time and hope to come back for the winter, and since the rooms are being refurbished I recommend they keep it up.
