This was the best experience we’ve had on all our trips around the world. The family was the kindest and most welcoming, making us feel at home, and the food still has me dreaming about it. The view and the quiet were great. Arriving was a challenge, but it was worth it.

Great location in a secluded spot, a unique experience combining place, music and food. Emanuele and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The room could have been a bit cleaner.

Emanuele and Cristina are outstanding hosts. Refugio is their life's work and you feel their commitment that they’ve invested in this place for over 20 years. Emanuele is a talented, trained pianist and offers music as accompaniment to dinner in the evening. An extraordinary experience under the open sky with excellent homemade food. Nothing negative. We walked around on foot, so the seclusion didn’t bother us. For car tourists it might be a bit special, since you have to walk a whole stretch of the parking area to the house through the forest. In return, the grand view over the entire horizon width rewards you afterward.

The place feels tucked away in nature right by the sea, with a warm welcome and excellent meals, though getting there is a bit of a hassle.
