The staff were exceptional! They were very attentive, the place felt very family‑oriented, and we were far from city noise. Nature lovers will find plenty of hiking options or simply a total rest with a stunning mountain view. Don’t miss the tasty dishes offered by the establishment! I wish I had had more time to enjoy this place.

On avait réservé 3 nuits. On en a fait 7. Ça résume tout : impossible de repartir. L'auberge est irréprochable — bien équipée, propre, au calme, avec une vue sur les montagnes qui justifie à elle seule le déplacement. On est en plein cœur d'un douar berbère, donc rien d'artificiel : du vrai, du brut. La cuisine est traditionnelle, préparée à l'ancienne, et franchement d'un excellent niveau. Les circuits de randonnée au départ de l'auberge sont superbes, que tu viennes pour marcher sérieusement ou juste pour respirer. Et le ciel la nuit… rarement vu ça. Zéro pollution lumineuse, un ciel étoilé qui laisse sans voix. La famille qui tient les lieux connaît son métier : accueil au sommet, attentifs au moindre détail, sans jamais se montrer envahissants. Ils ont même proposé un hammam traditionnel à ma femme. Bref, un endroit rare. Ceux qui hésitent passeront à côté de quelque chose. Nous, on sait déjà qu'on reviendra

A stay that will stay in our hearts 💛 We came for just three days with our little boy… and we stayed a whole week because we couldn’t leave. The Dar Tamatert is more than a hostel; it’s a timeless pause, tucked in an authentic Berber village where the scent of homemade cuisine lingers. Every moment feels wrapped in the place’s gentle atmosphere. What makes it unforgettable is the family who welcomed us—kindness, warmth, and attention to every detail moved me deeply. They even arranged a traditional hammam for me, a precious memory. The scenery is breathtaking, the hikes marvelous, and the starry sky at night so beautiful it brings tears. Absolute calm, a view that still dreams of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything; we will definitely return 🌟

“Great experience of traditional Morocco. In a peaceful location in the mountains. Great food.”

It was a great guest house in a working berber village. It felt a lot more authentic than the busyness of Imlil. It was very calming. Beautiful views from the terrace and the balconies. We were high up in the mountains it was gorgeous and quiet. We had a great breakfast and the evening meals were very tasty. The locals in the village were very friendly and there is a small shop.to buy simple supplies. There was a kettle in the room but no cups. Please note that the location is down a series of steps and can be challenging to carry cases from the carm

“Prima, maar eerder een 7 dan een 9+ plek”

De locatie is prachtig en de mensen zijn erg vriendelijk en willen duidelijk het beste voor hun gasten. De locatie was afgelegen, we moesten een paar trappen lopen vanaf de auto naar de accommodatie. De airconditioning werkte niet goed, leek geen goede stroomtoevoer te krijgen. De stopcontacten waren sowieso moeilijk in gebruik, ik kreeg zelf de stekker er amper/niet in. Na hulp wel gelukt maar toen ging de airco dus knipperen en hebben we hem toch maar uitgezet voor de zekerheid/veiligheid. Het 1persoonsbed was erg hard. Het is erg gehorig, als andere gasten hun deur openen is dat alsof jouw deur wordt geopend. De hanen buiten zijn er ook vroeg bij. Daarnaast was er in de badkamer een flinke rioollucht en in de ochtend sterke brandlucht. Vanwege de vriendelijkheid van de mensen gun ik deze accommodatie heus goede beoordelingen, maar na 2 weken reizen door Marokko waarbij specifiek gekeken naar beoordelingen met 9+, vinden wij dat deze accommodatie eerder rond de 6 scoort
