A magnificent, very quiet spot, yet I’m tall and the beams in the room were too close to my head.

It’s a wonderful property with well‑kept park and bathing facilities, nearby horses, and a cute little restaurant. The communal rooms in the castle are great, and breakfast was sufficient in a beautiful setting. However, the room’s air‑conditioner made a loud noise every few minutes, making sleep impossible. The room couldn’t be locked because of a door‑lock defect, the furnishings felt plain and not high‑quality for the price, and the bathroom had exposed stud holes from previous installations. Overall, the room didn’t match the price in condition; I expect perfection and upkeep, not just the shared areas. I also noticed a limited willingness and ability to speak English—clearly we’re in France, but that’s expected for the price. We’ve stayed in many lovely Loire accommodations, but I probably wouldn’t return here.

A princely stay in such a charming old manor, with a beautiful pool and park completing the experience. You should book a table in the adjacent restaurant right away to secure a spot, otherwise there’s nothing else for dinner. The highlight for me was the breakfast, served as a buffet in the castle kitchen and absolutely excellent. On the downside, our room in the annex was tiny and the slanted roof made moving around difficult; we both hit our heads in the bathroom at night.
