Mr Gangana is an exceptional character and had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. The host has a lovely family who took care of all your needs during my stay. Gangana is a very talented guitarist and I had a very good time with him.

We ended up not sleeping there because when we arrived in the evening we got a weird vibe from the owner. We were two girls and he behaved a bit weird. When we looked closer at the beds there were small bugs, and there was also rat droppings on the shelves in the corner.

Very good location and great view. And very friendly hosts.

The view of the sunrise over the surrounding mountains was truly beautiful.

First things first, the room is spotless clean, comfortable and deserves actually the best rating. Definetly so far one of the best rooms we stayed. The owner however makes you feel actually super uncomfortable and this has been the worst experience in Sri Lanka. We arrived at the place, and he tried to cheat us right away. We booked via booking and he tried to overcharge us and give us not the deluxe room we chose but a different one (clearly the standard room and not the one on the pictures). Even for this room he asked for more then stated on the invoice and told us that all other other rooms were actually booked our (no else stayed there) Just after a discussion he agreed to finally give us the room we booked. We We told him already in the evening that this is not how you treat your guests. For us everything was settled at that moment and like we have said above, would have left a good rating. In the morning it got even more bizarre. We said goodbye, said that we liked the room a lot and he didn’t even say goodbye. We went down to pack our bikes and suddenly he showed up again, asking us in very rude way if we would have a problem and demanding us to write a good review and wanted to tell us actually what we should write. He even build himself up infront of us and said “I have your number” which we just understand as threat to give him a good review. Totally unacceptable and unnecessary. He really needs to learn how to work with tourists. We can’t recommend this place
