The air‑conditioning worked well this time, the place was quiet, and the front desk staff were helpful; the dog‑friendly policy is a big plus for me. However, I wished for a magnifying mirror, and on the second night the maids fell short—no water and no makeup remover were provided, so the service was only adequate at best.

They offered bikes to explore town and the pool was great, but the rooms felt dated, needed a refresh, had cracked paint, moldy tile grout, and the bed was very soft and bouncy.

The vibe was nice and the place clean, but all rooms sit around the entertainment area, so noise can be an issue.

The motel was very nicely remodeled with a cute retro theme, a fun lobby and outdoor spaces, and it’s close to UCSB; however, the bathrooms don’t really have doors, which is fine if you’re staying in a room by yourself, but otherwise it isn’t ideal for sound and privacy.
